I feel so lucky to have met Shanna. We hit it off immediately as veterinarians who practiced together, and quickly grew into best friends. She always knows how to make me laugh when I am crying, and how to make me cry when we are working out together! I also got to be in her life when she met and fell in love with her soulmate. I cannot wait to celebrate Shanna and Tyler! Cheers to forever!

The year Tyler and I became roommates, we were the first to move into the house over the summer. For a few nights straight we would cook dinner using his shopping network “NuWave” and eat it while watching new episodes of The Office. Being broke college kids, this dinner was exclusively chicken (no seasoning), rice, and bbq sauce for dipping. That was probably our most civilized time in the house. Later that summer, we had an infestation of drain flies. Tyler, with the help of Tom, carefully removed all of the smoke alarms and bug bombed the entire home. For the remainder of the year, those smoke alarms lived in a closed closet, stacked on top of one another. Before the school year started during an extended power outage, Tyler and I went to the store looking for flashlights and candles. To this day I don’t know why, but we decided that an army of tea candles was the best way to illuminate a 2,000 sq ft home. Although we didn’t burn the house down, we did spend the night in the dark because those candles were a terrible choice. I have many fond memories of living with Tyler (plenty of which are dangerous and inappropriate for this website) but I often think of those days at the house. Becoming friends over moist chicken, unsafe living conditions, and bad decisions.

Shanna and I met the summer after 3rd grade playing on the same PAL softball team together, and the rest is history. Throughout our friendship there have been countless sleepovers while watching Ever After, Beverly Hills Ninja, and listening to Aqua. We also played softball together for so many seasons that it’s been hard to keep track of at this point. Our senior year, everyone jokingly would ask us how we were going to survive without each other because we would be almost 3,000 miles apart from each other, but I digress. Shanna is not only my best friend, but she is the sister that I was able to choose in this life. I am so so incredibly happy that she has found the love of her life, Tyler, and I cannot wait to be able to celebrate you both as you begin this next phase in your journey together. Love you both!

I will never forget visiting Shanna in her old apartment and opening up the fridge to find only beer, cheese, and condiments,… I know marrying Tyler comes with happiness, I just hope it also comes with a fully stocked fridge!

“I will always cherish spur of the moment dinner and drinks with Shanna after work, hiking with her and Roscoe, as well as enjoying her deadly sangria for the first and last time.  So happy to see her grow as a veterinarian, friend, and get to know her partner in crime, Tyler.  Love you both!”

I met Tyler "Big Daddy" Wilson freshman year of college and we were roommates until the end. We noticed near the end, that every year we had one or more roommates move out or leave the school. Not sure what that was about... We played on a broomball team for a few years (think hockey but not as physical). I tell you, it's surprising how well Tyler can scamper across the ice after a few rounds of liquor pitchers. I've never seen anybody fall so many times (scooby-doo style). I'm fortunate to have shared so many fun memories with Tyler and I'm happy that he and Shanna found each other.

Shanna and I met at our Fall 2013 veterinary school orientation - and it was after 3 days that we decided to be inseparable; unfortunately we couldn’t be roommates til second year. I don’t know if I would have kept my sanity through the most grueling curriculum of my life if Shanna was not a part of that journey. Between her support and fun & outgoing nature, she kept me grounded. We also found out during this time that neither of us can properly measure soup for a recipe. But between planning our co-ed fraternity events and tailgates, this woman knows how to plan a party! Ten years later, I can still call her one of my best friends and I am honored to be a part of her and Tyler’s wedding party - it will be one for the ages!

My favorite memory or story about Tyler is not an event or day, but a feeling of happiness and enjoyment. Tyler is involved one way or another in every collegiate memory that I have – good, bad, or illegal. Reflecting on all our time together, I can’t remember specific activities we did, or where we did them, but I remember the laughing and good times that were shared. There were afternoon card games, days it took 2 hours to figure out where we wanted to eat, nights out we will never remember, and days where we questioned life’s decisions. It was always impossible to predict what activity you would find yourself doing or where you might end up at the end of the night if Tyler was involved, but one thing was always certain – you knew that since Tyler was involved you were going to have a good night.

“I will never forget being with Tyler in Vegas the night he won big at the craps table and spent those winnings towards a new roof. I’m happy to see Tyler’s luck has not run out and that he has found the person he can win at life with.”

“My favorite memory of Tyler is him randomly showing up at our house on Grosvenor at 10 AM with a case of beer. Might have been a weekly occurrence.”
