We're getting married!

After the pandemic hit, Chandler found herself taking an interim job with a company that assigned her a "mentor" to help her learn the ropes. That mentor was Shane. He swears that he tried to give little hints from day one when he'd message her every day saying "okay im leaving, here is my number, text me". However, Chandler sees the situation completely differently and swears she made the first move after she had told her friend that she had a dream with her mentor with the "hot voice". Nevertheless, what were daily conversations about work turned into snap chatting country songs back and forth. Quickly, those snapchats became texts which turned into deep, meaningful conversations and daily facetime dates that lasted all hours of the night! After three weeks of "virtually" knowing each other, Shane talked about booking a flight to Charleston for New Years, but a day later he got covid, so he ended up booking a flight for three weeks later. Being the impatient person that Chandler is, she decided she didn't want to wait that long so she booked an earlier flight to Boston. God only knows what white lies we told our friends and family to make it seem normal that we were spending two weekends in a row with someone whom we'd never physically met in person, but we've been inseparable ever since!

Since the moment they bought their new house in Charleston, Chan had talked about wanting to take a picture with the dogs in the backyard. So when Shane finally threw out the idea to take pictures, Chandler didn't think twice...although when the time came, and the hangover hit from the night before, she wanted nothing to do with it. With tears in his eyes and a shaky voice, Shane managed to get down on one knee and ask Chandler to marry him. She immediately said YES, and then followed up with "are you sure YOU want to marry ME?" along with some cuss words...then said yes again! All of this was followed by a surprise brunch that Shane had planned with close family and friends and celebrated at one of their favorite spots in town, Shem Creek! It was such a memorable weekend full of surprises and she even said yes to him with a completely shaved face. PS-It was soon that Chandler realized why Shane was so angry two days prior when he had accidentally shaven off all of his facial hair!
