Where should I stay?
Answer
There are MANY vacation homes for rent on Lake Nantahala, all in close proximity to the venue. The venue's lodging page provides links to beautiful vacation homes for rent on the lake categorized by walking distance to venue, group of cabins close to each other, lakefront or lake view, pets allowed, etc. There are also several homes that you can access via a walking trail from our venue. Asheville – 1 h 50 min, Chattanooga – 2h 14 min, Knoxville – 2h 15 min, Atlanta – 2h 50 min, Greenville-Spartanburg – 2h 40 min.

How should I get there?
Answer
Cell service doesn’t work once you get to the mountains. As a precaution, you might want to print out directions to your vacation home, and make sure you have a contact number and any gate or other codes written down. You can always make Wi-Fi calls from the Nantahala Weddings Venue; remember to ensure “wifi calling” is activated in your phone settings. If you’re coming from the east (Asheville), take the route through Bryson City rather than Franklin – even if your GPS tells you otherwise. It’s an easier drive. If you’re coming from the South (Atlanta), take the route through Murphy rather than Franklin for the same reason. Will there be transportation to the venue?
Answer
We have hired a car service that will arrange a time for picking you up and taking you back to your accommodations as long as it is within a reasonable distance from the venue. We want to make sure everyone as a safe plan for leaving since there are no taxis or Ubers in the area.

Where should I park if I decide to drive myself?
Answer
When you arrive at Nantahala Weddings, park in the area to the left of the Nantahala Weddings sign. Make sure to park perpendicular to the road. If you are unable to walk up the 300-foot path to the ceremony, there will be a “Shuttle Stop” sign and a bench set up in the half-circle parking lot for you. Wait there until the 4WD Polaris arrives to take you to the ceremony.

What time should I arrive?

We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony to give yourself plenty of time to get seated.

What should I wear?
Answer
We'd love for you to wear your best formal "Garden Party" attire. Throw on something colorful and help us brighten up the party! There is gravel along the venue walking paths so we recommend shoes that are easy to walk in.

Will we be inside or outside?

The ceremony and reception will be outdoors.

Yes! You're welcome to bring your little ones or you may choose to have a parents night off. Whatever feels right to you. Please RSVP accordingly.
