Columbus, OH Being from different states it may seem confusing how Shai and Kam met, especially as it all started during the beginning of the pandemic. It was a bit of fate that Kam moved to Ohio for a few years. This allowed their love story to start with a “like” on Hinge, however, they actually met on their first date at Roosters. After a few months they officially started dating in August of 2020.

Terrapin Point, Niagara Falls, New York. The happy couple went on what Shai thought was a weekend anniversary trip to Niagara Falls. Little did she know it would end with a surprise proposal. It was the perfect location after several years of Shai asking Kam to stop at Niagara Falls while driving through New York. Kam planned the whole thing and had all of her family in on the surprise as well. Imagine Shai’s surprise seeing all of her family show up at the falls (and not realizing what was happening). They walked to Terrapin point to “get dinner”, when Shai’s family showed up and Kam got down on one knee with his grandmothers ring. Shai obviously said “Yes!”.
