We met using the app Hinge, I asked Zach if he wanted to come over to watch the Bears game.. ya know, had to have a start and end time, just in case the date sucked. I was only expecting him to stay for a few hours, we could chat, drink some beers and then I could kick him out... little did I know that our first date would be 9 hours long and ultimately our last first dates. Our conversation was endless and effortless, we both felt we had known each other forever. We were both smitten from the start, but didn't want to tell each other. Zach was supposed to move for work just a few months later, and we were afraid to get too attached. Welp, that was short lived. Those few months went by quickly and Zach decided he didn't want to leave without me and asked me to move with him. Off to Olean, NY we went .. only to be faced with some scary movie-like experiences, no really - we can show you video, beautiful scenery, and becoming a much stronger couple. One year later and we can both admit, a silly dating app led to finding our twin flame.
For those of you who have met our dog Luna, you know she is the most moody, sassy, expressive and lovable dog (if she lets you). She is slow to trust, but after some time Zach won her over, just like her mom. Luna has made it VERY known that she has to be in the middle of us. She isn't happy until she wedges in between us no matter how much room there is for her. After a couple months of dating, the three of us were cuddled on the couch watching a movie when Zach leaned down to give me a kiss, Luna promptly interfered demanding kisses out of jealousy and Zach said "don't worry Luna, I love you too." Zach has never been a brighter shade of red, and I have never smiled so big. It was an accidental slip, but has been said on purpose every day since.
