The first time we met was at a work event for current and past interns. It was a lunchtime mixer and we barely spoke. We then met again at Sean's end of internship send off lunch. Again, we barely spoke. After 9 months of working in San Carlos, Sean came back to Torrance and started sharing an office with Taylor - Julia's best friend and roommate. We started spending more time together outside of work and building a great friendship. At this point in time Julia was living with her friend Jill. Jill was hosting an engineering awards event in OC and asked Julia to come. She called Sean on the day of the event and asked him to join her - the only catch, it was $100 per ticket! He immediately said yes and we were on our way! Julia knew he was a special guy already, but this made it really sink in. From there we went to dinners, we would play pool together, we travelled all over the world and fell in love ❤️
