FAQs

We attempted to answer all the most important questions.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than September 8th so we can get a final guest count.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Although we love spending time with your little ones, we politely ask that other arrangements are made for children under the age of 12. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend guests arrive 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony (2:30 PM) so we can have everyone ready and seated before the ceremony begins at 3 PM.

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will be at Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa and the reception will be about 20 minutes away at Oyster Ridge in Santa Margarita.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Please find your own way to the ceremony. It can be tricky to find parking near the Mission, so we recommend you take an Uber. We have secured two busses for transport to and from Oyster Ridge for a total of 92 seats. We won't be able to accomodate everyone on the buses, but we will be sending out an email soon to try our best to get everyone who would like to take a bus on one of the busses. If you would prefer to drive yourself, there is parking on site at the reception.

Question

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

Yes! Please join us for our welcome party at The Carissa at 7:30 on Friday night. Everyone invited to the wedding is invited to the welcome reception. We would love to see you there so we have an extra opportunity to visit with you!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. If you are joining us for our welcome party on Friday night, please wear whatever makes you comfortable.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather in early October is usually still pretty warm (upper 70s), but it gets cooler at night.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is indoors in the church and the reception will be partially indoors with cocktail hour and dinner planned for outside.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will have a full open bar serving beer, wine from Ancient Peaks, and liquor. We will also have non-alcoholic drinks at the bar.

Question

How will food be served?

Answer

Food will be served buffet style. If you have any dietary restrictions please write a note on your RSVP card or email us at teixeiramillikanwedding@gmail.com

Question

What if I have more questions?

Answer

Please email teixeiramillikanwedding@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can!
