May 1st!
Sundresses, floral patterns, light colors, linen, short sleeve button ups, and khaki shorts all acceptable. We want everyone to feel relaxed :) But remember comfortable shoes for the reception as it will be on a grass lawn.
Our dear friend Sam has graciously offered to cater dinner for us! Sam is partner to two restaurants, one specializing in wood fired pizza and the other in hand-rolled gourmet sushi. We chose items from both menus in hope that everyone would find something delicious. For this reason we have organized a serve yourself buffet rather than making plates ahead of time. There will be an open bar and appetizers as well.
Due to the limited seating in the chapel we've had to limit the amount of invites to the ceremony but we hope to see everyone at the reception. If you are in doubt, check your RSVP.
You're on your own for lunch! We have a page with a few recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. Door County is full of interesting things to do/see, many more than we can possibly list. This would be an ideal time to grab a bite to eat, check into hotels, and explore the area, the towns of Sister Bay, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Bailey's Harbor, and Egg Harbor are all great for tourism. After the ceremony we will not be meeting again until 3:30pm for cocktails and appetizers.
Unfortunately no, there are no rooms designated so please book a room in advance. Please be aware that many hotels in the area do not take one night reservations. We recommend booking a room as soon as possible.
