Haylie and Casey met through mutual friends at an outdoor concert in Green Bay in 2021 the first year that the city tried out their annual fall music festival 'Shipwrecked'. It was love at first sight. On their first date, Haylie made a playlist (or as our beloved elders would say: a mixtape) which was an attempt to speak to Casey on another level. Before that same date, Casey was busy purchasing rugs, tablecloths, throw pillows, wine glasses, and all sorts of accoutrements to furnish his barren apartment like a songbird fashioning a nest out of shiny garbage to impress his prospective mate. The couple bonded over music, films, cooking, and many other subjects over hours of conversation. Now the most important thing they share is the boundless love they have for their son Ivan They made a tremendous leap together, committing to a love so deep it took a great deal of soul searching. It can be frightening to fling oneself into a force which they feel no control and let the tide take them where it will, but deep love, shared values, and stimulating friendship brought this couple to their decision to make a life long commitment in the eyes of God and laws of man.
