As a guest of the Warwick Melrose, complimentary individual transportation is offered within a three-mile radius of the Hotel based on availability.
Early in the Spring the Warwick will be opening a brand new outdoor pool, and yes April in Texas will be a great time to visit the pool. Expect day time highs in the upper 80's and with a little Texas humidity a mid day dip in the pool will feel great. Night time should still be cooling off to the 60's, and the notorious Texas storms are still at least a month off, but showers are bit unpredictable so an umbrella will help. Dallas is a little more trendy and fashionable than you might be expecting. People in Downtown and Uptown, in particular, will be a little more dressed up, but when it gets hot (90+), Texans don't bother pretending to comfortable so you'll see plenty of athletic wear around. If you venture west, trendy is still trendy, but the heels are traded for boots and the turquoise and fringe will be omnipresent. Saturday night should have a fun 60's steakhouse vibe (no need to pack the tux) somewhere between Business and Cocktail attire and you'll feel right at home.
Dallas /Fort Worth is now about 8 million people, and all of them are late to somewhere. From the sky it looks like the whole town has been paved, and much of it has, but highways can be very confusing as they are largely old highways with short ramps and strange interchanges dropped in. Folks in the Metro rarely seem to park their own cars, so you'll find valet stands literally everywhere. In Fort Worth its free valet and great system, in Dallas its a series of ever competitive firms, some pretending to be more official than they are. If you find a street parking spot its rare and take it, otherwise there are a ton of Garages to cover your car from the late spring/ early summer hail storms.
