Maid of Honor

She may be my younger sister, but we always said we were really twins born three years apart. Janie and I text an average of 200 times per day, not including the messages we send each other in our shared Slack workspace (#SchwartzSchwestersInc.) We thank Janie for being thoughtful enough to arrive on this planet 4-weeks early, resulting in the shared Janie/Josh birthday of 1994, which ended up being the catalyst for this whole darn wedding in the first place. She is the smartest, funniest person I know, the mama to my favorite cat-nephew Milo, and the best sounding-board for all things in life (including listening to an infinite amount of wedding ideas).

Josh

Best Man

Lord Joshi Louis Ritter, Fourth of His Name, Mimi's Best Boy, Hand of the Groom. Josh is Matt's best friend and the funniest of the Ritter brothers. Josh graduated with degrees in Film, Audiology, and Astronomy. He currently lives in LA and works on movies - you can see his name in the credits of classics such as Outside the Wire and Night Teeth! Josh and Matt share the closest of bonds, some call them the "second twins". They speak their own language, often they call each other and just giggle on the phone. But nothing compares to the pure joy when they are together in person. And, Josh and Megan share a previous friendship all their own. Josh is the person Matt can always rely on no matter what. He couldn't imagine standing at his wedding without little J at his side. SO SAY WE ALL!

Megan

From the best of times (getting that sweet, sweet boarding pass for Rise of the Resistance at Disney World) to the worst of times (the meer existence of Kracken Rum), and everything in between, Megan has been my partner in crime for over a decade. She's the Megan to my Meggie- half of the internationally-recognized duo "The Megans" (and by "international" I mean "select groups in Fort Collins and Orlando"). Megan is a major foodie, a social media guru, and an unapologetic Shark Week fan. She's the most supportive friend and has the biggest heart. We love her ability to light up any room she walks into, and with her sweet moves we have no doubt she and her fiance Andy (aka our officiant) will be the first ones on the dance floor at our wedding!

Brian Isaac Ritter, First of the Blankets, Eldest Born, Father of the Second Degree. Brian not only claims the title of oldest by 3 minutes for besting his twin in womb-bal combat, but is also the funniest of the brothers. Growing up, Matt was always protected and guided by Brian. Brian brought Matt to his first concert, intro'd him to great music, and now advises Matt on his products, his career, and life. Brian lives in Boulder with his amazing wife, Stephanie, and their two sons: Xavier and Jean-Luc. He is an entrepreneur and owns his own consulting firm called R2 Consulting. Fun fact, Brian was Janie's personal trainer at one point before Matt and Megan ever became a thang! He is the most caring and supportive person, and has always been there for Matt & Megan. THERE ARE 4 LIGHTS!

On our first day living at Disney World, Megan Flanary and I decided to introduce ourselves to our neighbors across the hall. Coralynn was the one who opened the door, and she immediately pronounced, "I'm Mickey Mouse! Want a hug?". We've been friends ever since. Cora has the ability to make every situation fun- whether it's galavanting around Dublin, sitting in her car going through Canadian border customs at midnight, watching Disney movies (while actually napping) at home, or dumpster diving for hand-me-downs (and yes, she's even cute covered in garbage). She is feisty and funny, a great mama to her dog-baby Bailey, the owner of enough bad selfies of me to ruin my life if she wanted (and visa versa), and knows better than anyone how to talk me off a cliff.

David

Groomsman

David Lawrence Ritter, Second to the Throne, Squire of Many Languages. Dave is the second born twin, but claims the title of biggest hands, tallest brother, and funniest of the Ritters. He lives in Denver with his wonderful boyfriend Preston (just 2 miles from Matt and Megan), and owns his own blockchain company called Penta. Growing up, Dave created fun, imaginative games for Matt and intro'd him to sci fi. He welcomed and hosted Matt on 3 different occasions when he lived in China. Most recently, he hosted Megan and Matt for a whole month in Shanghai. In that time, he showed them amazing adventures, introduced them to lifelong friends, and forged a strong relationship with Megan. David is alway the life of the party, a good, a man of honor, and an inspiring older bro! SEE YOU OUT THERE!

Lauren

Lauren has a long history in BOTH of our lives, so it was a bit of a battle about who got to have her stand on their side. We decided to arm wrestle for it, and with LC as my former pilates instructor, I was able to smash Ritter & win the rights to have Lauren on the bride's side ;) I met LC in first grade when we were on the same soccer team, and it took us just 20 years from that time to become friends. Once we both found ourselves in Austin, we quickly bonded over our shared love of Trader Joe's, being on boats, and our quest to find the best avocado margaritas in ATX (you'll have to find her at the wedding to ask who the winner was!). Lauren is adventurous, thoughtful, & supportive. She's my go-to for advice, and her organizational skills have been crucial during wedding planning!

Andy

Officiant

Stand up comedian, Market Research extrordinarre, Harry Potter trivia aficionado, one of the best wedding dance-floor movers we know, and lucky soon-to-be-husband of Megan Flanary. Andy has a remarkable ability to make everyone feel comfortable and included. He is a genuine and sincere person- truly interested in knowing about who you are and how you are doing. Andy is one of the only people both Matt and Megan can talk on the phone with for hours on end, and we're lucky to consider him a friend to as us a couple, as well as individually. He asks the best, most fun questions and has an outlook on life we admire and aspire to obtain. We can't wait for Andy to marry us!
