Sarah and Cal met at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2014 when they both spent the summer in Troy working and doing research. Halfway between Cal’s dorm and his lab was Sarah’s apartment (“the hut”) where he’d often stop by on his way to or from work. Sometimes even working from her couch after just a quick check in at the lab. By the end of summer they were inseparable.
