This restaurant is the oldest one in Chinatown and has amazing food! We love the scallion pancakes and seared dumplings. Be prepared to wait if you go for dinner.
We are always on the hunt for oysters, and The Mermaid Inn is one of the best. They have three locations in the city but this one is closest to The Lighthouse.

Little Island is an artificial island park in the Hudson River west of Manhattan in New York City. It is a relatively new park and is definitely worth checking out for the views! It can get crowded and on certain days/times they require a timed reservation--so you might want to schedule ahead of time.
Located right near our apartment in Astoria, Bohemian Hall is a lively outdoor beer garden. They serve all types of Czech beer on tap and have great food like soft pretzels, kielbasa, and burgers.
