Question

Kids?

Answer

Hells yes. Bring your babies, we want to see them on the dance floor!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invite says "and Guest" please feel free but otherwise we want to keep it to those we're close with.

Question

Is there transportation the evening of?

Answer

Short answer: no. Everything should be walking distance and we strongly suggest booking things nearby for convenience. Parking is very limited in town so walking or golf carts are going to be your best bet.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Casual for the night before, semi-formal beach for the big day! Think linens, long flowery dresses, open sandals, no heavy suit jackets or ties required unless you feel naked without them. The rest of the time do whatever you want, wanna be in a swimsuit the whole time? Go for it!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please make your final RSVPs by August 15th! We understand things are weird and crazy so go with your best guess at this point, hopefully we'll have a good idea of the state of the world by 2 months before the event. Also, we gotta give the caterers final totals a minimum of 30 days in advance so you don't tell us, you don't eat!

Question

Hey, I've never been to Mexico, what should I know?

Answer

Sayulita is a very safe small town, we walk everywhere even at night so please feel comfortable but be smart: lock up your things, don't get blackout drunk, basically be a normal adult. There are a lot of ex-pats in town and most people will speak English so navigating life is easy. That being said some reciprocal Spanish would be greatly appreciated by all the locals. To maximize your trip health, don't drink the tap water, use bottled water for everything, even small stuff like brushing your teeth and don't drink shower water. At any restaurant you'll be fine to have ice in your drinks, eat the fresh veggies, etc, but vendors on the beach won't necessarily have the same standards so keep that in mind.

Question

Do I need to exchange money first?

Answer

The easiest answer is yes. Your bank can exchange US dollars for pesos but you usually have to order a few weeks in advance. ATMs there give great exchange rates but your bank may charge withdrawal fees, so look into that prior. Many credit cards charge international exchange fees so check with your company first.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes.

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

The weather in Sayulita this time of year is hot during the day and pleasantly warm at night, average temps range from 90 to 75 F so pack accordingly. There is a beautiful sandy beach which is great for swimming or many other water-based activities. Bring swim gear, sunscreen, bug spray and any attire which you'll feel comfortable in!
