Despite both growing up in California (albeit very different regions), Sean and Natalie didn’t meet until the new student orientation for Maine Maritime Academy in June of 2019. The families met briefly, unsuspecting that a lifelong bond would eventually develop. In August of that year Natalie and Sean both returned back to MMA to begin their 10 day Regimental Preparatory Training and were both placed into Charlie company. They quickly became friends through their close proximity in the regiment and by joining the sailing team. As their freshman year went on, their friendship grew into being best friends. Despite COVID lockdown, busy schedules, and more they remained very close during their first 3 years of college. Their senior year they started dating (if you ask any of their friends they will tell you it was a long time coming, and not a shock at all) and were engaged in January of 2024 right before a long ski trip to Mammoth Mountain, California. Now they are ecstatic to be getting married, and even more thrilled to have their dearest friends and family join them to celebrate. They fell in love in the beautiful state of Maine, and will be married right across the bay from where they met. Maine is a lovely state in the fall, and they can't wait to showcase it to those who have never been (and celebrate it with those who share their love for it already).
