We're Getting Married!

We were in New Orleans for a weekend to visit family and attend a wedding for a close family friend. We had a Sunday jazz brunch planned with my family at Muriel's, a restaurant in Jackson Square in the French Quarter. Before we sat down at the table with my family for brunch, Eric took me to the balcony of Muriel's, which overlooks the St. Louis Cathedral. He got down on one knee and popped the question! I said "YES," and just like that we were engaged! I was so happy to have my family there to share this moment with and to celebrate afterwards with brunch and mimosas!

Eric and I met through a mutual friend and when we first met neither one of us really thought much of it! After meeting for the first time, we found ourselves in many of the same social gatherings. It was several months after knowing each other before Eric asked me out on a date. After our first date, we started spending a lot more time together and things just clicked!
