We’re getting married!

2017: Samantha and Zeb met at the end of thermodynamics class their sophomore year of college at the University of Alabama. Samantha had sent a picture of the back of Zeb's head to her IL high school friend who wanted them to meet. (She had met Zeb on a college trip abroad to France the summer previous.) After first meeting, they discovered they also had other classes together & ended up getting lunch together one day. 2017 - 2018: They went on several dates but mark March 19th, 2017 as their first day together. Samantha and Zeb both met each other's parents only weeks after that day. (I guess that's a sign of a keeper.) Going into the summer, they were almost 500 miles apart but that didn't stop them. They continued dating through junior year - travelling for football games, concerts, and entire co-op semesters. 2018-2019: There was time Zeb spent time co-oping in Montgomery, AL and later interning in Decatur, AL. During this time, Samantha was in Tuscaloosa taking classes. When she was in Muscle Shoals, AL on her co-op terms, Zeb was back in Tuscaloosa doing the same. Even though they spent much of junior and senior years living in separate zipcodes, they did not let that deter them from visiting and planning trips together. 2020: Before graduation, Samantha had accepted a job out in Kansas City, MO, while Zeb would stay to get his M.B.A. from the University of Alabama. They thought they had it figured out... but you know the saying: You plan, and God laughs! 2020-2021: In 2020, the world flipped upside down, and they graduated college from their parents' homes without a clear plan for the future. Long story short, Zeb and Samantha both were hired on by the same company in east Tennessee. For the first time in many years, they would share the same zipcode and see each other almost every day. It was a blessing in disguise! 2022 - beyond: On December 3rd, 2022 they got engaged! Samantha and Zeb are so thrilled to begin their married life together in Kingsport, TN, and look forward to their next adventure together.
