Perfect for long, contemplative walks. For our fellow birders - be sure to bring your binoculars or squint scopes!
Additional options for long, contemplative walks! According to Sam and Meredith, the outer Cape boasts some of the most breathtaking beaches in the entire world, and they are not open to arguing this point. The National Seashore starts in Eastham and runs up through Provincetown. The Visitor’s Center is in Eastham. Coast Guard Beach in Eastham gets ranked as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world by numerous travel guides. Be sure to stop by Whitecrest Beach in Wellfleet if you'd like to see the historic site of Sam and Meredith's engagement (there's no plaque yet but there should be).
Perfect for strolling, shopping, and dining. Highlights include: Chatham Candy Manor (Meredith recommends the dark chocolate sea salt caramels), The Wild Goose Tavern for lunch (Sam recommends the fish chowder), and of course, the infamous Chatham Squire (they both recommend the atmosphere and whatever kind of alcohol makes you happy). Two other options for great dining experiences are the Impudent Oyster and Del Mar Bar & Bistro.
Commercial Street in PTown is another perfect place to spend an afternoon if you like good food, good drinks, and popping in and out of quaint shops. If you're in the mood for some pizza, you can't go wrong with Spiritus. If you're in need of incense, tie dye, turquoise rings, or anything else to feed your hippie soul, then definitely stop at Shop Therapy.
A quaint general store in downtown Brewster, this place was always on the itinerary for Hauser family vacations when Meredith, Jack, and Will were growing up. Stop in for some Cape Cod souvenirs and penny candy (which is really more like dollar candy nowadays).
Access the beautiful bay beaches Brewster is known for from any of the town beaches – Paine's Creek, Robbins Hill/Mant's Landing, Saints Landing, Breakwater Beach, Linnell Landing, and Crosby Landing.
