We will have shuttles from Sisters and from Black Butte on wedding day. If you feel like enjoying the open bar, please consider taking the shuttle and staying in Sisters or Black Butte. We don’t want anyone drinking and driving!
For Friday night, we are doing “fancy BBQ”, so Tommy Bahamas shirts, sundresses and shorts are just fine! For Saturday, dress up to your heart’s desire! We are in the woods, so think of your practical footwear. This is not a black tie event, but especially in Bend, we don’t get to dress up too often, so break out the jacket or fun tie or dress at the back of your closet. "Cocktail" attire is a good benchmark. For Sunday, full camping attire/PJs are acceptable.
Unfortunately no, the forest is not compatible (or overly compatible) with fire this time of year so Suttle Lake has a strict no flames rule.
There is no outside alcohol allowed within the venue, but you can bring alcohol to drink in your cabin or on the lake.
Your guess is as good as ours… Central Oregon can have a broad range of temperature and weather, often frequently changing throughout the day. Be prepared for anything and check weather apps prior to arrival. We will be in the mountains, so as soon as the sun goes down, so do the temperatures, we recommend you bring a jacket or two.
There will be the opportunity for various lake sports before the ceremony. There are kayaks and paddle boards available for rent or you can BYOWC (bring your own water craft). For those who prefer to stay dry there will be lawn games, nice woods for walkin' and a big group of our favorite people to talk to. If you prefer solitude, there are many quiet places to read a book in the sun (or whatever weather we get). Also there will be dogs.
