What’s the attire?

Answer

DRESSSSSSSS COMFORTABLY! NO Formal Wear (i.e. heels, tuxes, suits, dresses you can’t move in–trust us, it’s for you, not us!) We totally mean this! You will be walking through woods, it is AN OUTDOOR event. If you love colors, wear ‘em! No stress, just pick something out of your closet that makes you feel the most you! If you are confused on what to wear, just reach out. We want you to dress to MOVE, so you can feel WILD AND FREE, be able to move your body without restrictions. Georgia can get a little warm, but there will be cooling refreshments. Don’t worry, we will be out there moving and grooving with you! Be your own free spirit!

What will this celebration look like?

Answer

We are hoping it will be a little piece of connection, woodstock-y 1970s free spirit, feeling yourself, that it will take you back in time, before we were super dependent on cell phones and just enjoy the moment– that’s our favorite part of our relationship! Don’t shy away from colors if that’s how your express yourself if that’s your thing!

How is the parking? Where do I get dropped off?

Answer

Entrance is off of Sheppard Road (between Owens Ct and Mountain View Dr.) next to Corpus Christi Church. SIGNS WILL BE POSTED. See MAPS in ****GALLERY*** for details Know that once you park your car, take what you need because it won’t be super easy to get back to it once we are in the dance/celebration area. The ceremony will be near-ish your car. At the end of the night we will have a driver to take you back to your car =). Basically, you will be making a circle and not go back the same route you came due to safety in the woods and no daylight.

I have to walk through the woods?

Answer

On the note of walking, please privately message us if you do not feel comfortable walking and we can provide alternate ways of travel to and from the ceremony site. In total, there will be about 0.5 miles of walking, spread out, not all at once. There will be areas of shade.

Is there a theme for the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding theme: Connection. All we want is for you to feel a little more connected then when you first walked in, whatever that means to you! We highly encourage meeting all our friends and family and talking to people you DON’T KNOW. It’s community and love and that’s what it is all about! We love you and we can’t wait to have your love and energy at our home, our safe haven. We just ask that you come with an open mind and open heart and we guarantee some magic will happen!

Will there be dietary restriction options?

Answer

ABSOLUTELY! Even our cake! We truly believe FOOD IS MEDICINE and we have some awesome caterers that cook from the heart and will have vegan, gluten free, and dairy free options! They are very knowledgeable of their food and are so kind and friendly! They will be there, so ask them if you want to know what medicine they got! Our cake will be dairy free as well! Look for little tags for further info!

What’s this I hear about the SUNDAY AFTER BRUNCH?

Answer

Our moms are hosting a breakfast the day after the wedding! ANYONE who comes to the wedding is welcome to join. You can swim in the lake, walk around the property, enjoy music, and connect with those you connected with the night before, hang out in a very relaxed environment. Please click here to RSVP for the breakfast afterwards! Sunday September 17, 2023 at 11:30am. If you need to leave for the airport from there, bring your bags and we can put them in a room in the house. =)

What time does it start?

Answer

Doors will open at 4:30, please arrive as close to 4:30 as possible to get the most out of the experience, if you are early that’s okay, everyone will just enter all together at 4:30. Jake will be entering at 4:30 with whoever is present at that time. Otherwise, just follow the trail and come experience our haven. You will know where it is!

Should I wear sunblock or bring bug spray?

Answer

This is a COMPLETELY OUTDOOR wedding, you will be VENTURING THROUGH THE WOODS for a brief period, so if you need to spray some bug spray before, feel free. There will be shaded areas if you need to hide from the sun. Lately the sun has been hiding behind the trees, so hopefully it will be just right on our beautiful Saturday.

What’s the food timeline?

Answer

We know, we know. Food is important. We need to know when we will be fed! There will be some drinks during the pre-ceremony exploration, some snacks before dinner and then dinner will be served approximately 7:45-8:00. We gotcha!
