FAQs

These are the most common questions from our friends and family...check back regularly as we keep adding to the list! If you don't see an answer to a question you have, please contact Kristin or Ryan.
Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony is outdoors, beachside. Our reception is indoors.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We've opted for a semi-formal event. We prefer no one wears jeans or shorts, and the bride kindly asks for no one to wear ivory or white. And because most women don't necessarily like to show up wearing the same color as the bridesmaids, we'll let you know that ours will be wearing navy and dusty blue. And because it's that time of year, please absolutely no Halloween costumes. Please note that the ceremony is beachside, and an October sunset at the beach in Jersey can be chilly and/or windy. UPDATE: Temps are expected to be in the lower 50s during the day and lower 40s - upper 30s at night.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30, therefore we have noted an earlier arrival time of 5 pm on our invitations. Please be on time...sunsets don't wait for anyone! The reception will immediately follow, upstairs just steps away from the ceremony location. Please note, parking meters are in effect through the end of October, therefore, be prepared to pay for parking near the venue. There are several lots, ranging form $2/hr (this one is the one directly next to the venue), $0.50/hr across the street, and $5 all day at Fun Town Pier.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

The number of seats reserved for you are on your response card (and your envelopes were addressed accordingly). Please check your card and be sure to fill it out correctly (and mail it back by Oct 1st so we can give the venue an accurate headcount). If you have any questions, please ask one of us!

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted numbers. The only children under 21 who will be attending both our ceremony and reception are immediate family. We hope you'll be able to have a night out and share your evening with us, and that your only responsibility will be to have a good time!

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our personal phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

We have hired an amazing photographer and videographer to capture the moments of our ceremony and therefore we kindly ask that you do not use cameras or phones during these special moments. We are looking very forward to your candids and selfies captured during our reception though, and hope you will share these pics via Veri, the app they have purchased that you can now download for free! ***Please use discretion with posting and tagging on social media!***

Question

Will food be served?

Answer

The reception will be a buffet style event. We hope you enjoy the choices we made to share some of our favorites from the Jersey Shore with you! If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know a week before the wedding and we will try to accommodate your request.

Question

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

We are, and it's all connected here on this website!

Question

Can I request a song to be played at the reception?

Answer

Yes! Text your requests to Kristin at 321-217-9343 and she will add them to the play list for the DJ.

Question

Do I have to send back my RSVP card or can I verbally tell you my response?

Answer

UPDATE 10/19/2018: If you haven't sent it back yet, we are assuming you are not able to attend. YES please mail it back! They should be addressed and stamped (if not, please let us know and we will fix this...) for you to conveniently mail them back to us, whether you are attending or not. We need these back to us by October 1st so we can provide the venue with our final count and have our seating chart completed. If you don't RSVP and decide to show up anyway, please bring your own chair and a sandwich :)

Question

When do I need to book my accommodations?

Answer

NOW! No seriously, right now. Even though October is off-season as far as the beach is concerned, it's prime wedding season. Houses are disappearing off our VRBO list quickly. Let us know if you want to go in on renting one with someone; several have expressed this but aren't sure who to rent with. We also have rooms blocked at a hotel that's about 15 minutes away. (Hotle Block ended atthe end of Sept but you can still try to use our names to get the discount)

Question

Should we rent a car, or will transportation be provided?

Answer

At this time, we do not anticipate being able to provide transportation for anyone. We'll try to keep everyone posted on this, but if a large group arrives on the same flight, getting a shuttle will be the most cost effective plan for the group. Keep us posted on your flights so we can help you arrange this! As for the day of the wedding, if a large number of guests are booked at the hotel without rental cars, we can look into getting a shuttle for them to the ceremony. Uber is also available in the area.
