Things To Do
Our wedding is on a Friday, and we hope you stay in town for the weekend to explore DC! A quick Google search will offer you tons of things to do, but here are some of our favorites:
-Favorite monument/memorial: The Lincoln Memorial! Check it out at night for smaller crowds, and see if you can find the typo in Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address.
-Ghost tours in Old Town Alexandria (more historical than ghost-centric, usually :))
-U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum: If you see one museum in DC, this should be it.
-Favorite bottomless brunch: DC is big on bottomless brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Our favorite is Ambar, which has 3 locations and offers Eastern European cuisine. Reservations are crucial.
-Favorite pizza and beer spot: Atlas Brew Works, 1201 Half St. SE. This is where we ate on our second date, and also the night Ryan proposed!
-Favorite dive bar: The Pug, 1234 H St NE, Washington. This is where we ended our first date. It's a true dive, so temper your expectations.
