We’re getting married!

Out of the 40,000 students at Penn State University, these two found each other at the start of 2020. Ryan asked Arielle out on their first date which Arielle didn’t even realize was a date (she still went). In February 2020 (to add more context, Arielle was on hour 13 of her THON shift), Ryan asked Arielle to be his girlfriend, but wasn’t clear enough. Arielle said “ew, no.” One day later, Arielle got upset with Ryan because he hadn’t asked her to be his girlfriend. Ryan was very confused… and so was Arielle. But hey, at least now they are confused together! They officially started dating February 24, 2020. Just as their love started to blossom, the pandemic and lockdown decided they wanted to ruin recently started relationships. The pandemic was no match for Ryan and Arielle though! Arielle likes to sit in the passenger seat and give wrong directions and play *amazing* music while Ryan sits in the drivers seat and listens to her talk (she can talk a lot). They enjoy trying new restaurants, exploring new places, and spending time with friends and family! Their favorite date night activity is going to an Orioles or Phillies game! Ryan had a fear of dogs, but Arielle’s dazzling personality helped him overcome it. He now enjoys spending time with Aspyn as well. Ryan proposed to Arielle on their 3 year anniversary in New York City’s overlook, The Edge at Hudson Yards. She said yes! Our love has never been perfect, but it’s our’s.

Arielle was born in Northeast Philadelphia to Jonathan and Rosario Agustin. By the age of 4, their family had moved to Collegeville, PA which is a suburb of Philadelphia. Arielle is the middle child between Aaron (older) and Sean (younger). Arielle always knew she had a passion for helping others. When she was young, her dream jobs were to be an FBI agent or a teacher or a veterinarian. When she graduated high school in 2018, Arielle was set on attending Penn State University and studying Biobehavioral Health which is a major that encompasses biology, chemistry, psychology, and sociology. She emphasized her major on health inequities/disparities and womens' health. She was passionate about using the healthcare system to make a change in today's society. Arielle participated in Penn State's THON while in college. Now Arielle lives in Arlington, VA working in healthcare IT. Arielle enjoys spending time with her family and friends and pets! They are her priorities in life. Aspyn (or Peng Peng) is her best friend. She loves to go outside and find new restaurants to eat at, explore little towns and travel, and also read books. Her favorite series is "Harry Potter" by J.K. Rowling, and her favorite book is "A Little Life" by Hanya Yanigahara. Arielle is a God fearing, Target loving, Aspyn obsessed, caring, and gentle woman. Ryan was born and grew up in York, PA to Rich and Joanne Day. Ryan has an older sister, Brooke. Ryan was always very passionate about baseball, wanting to be a sports agent or general manager of a team when he was younger. He played for many years starting at 5 years old to present day! His favorite position to play was shortstop. When Ryan graduated high school in 2016, Ryan decided to go to Penn State Harrisburg to major in economics and focused on classes in finance. He recently just graduated from Penn State University's World Campus with a Master of Finance. Ryan still currently lives in York while working as an accountant for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Ryan enjoys spending time with his family and friends and enjoys sports. His favorite TV show is The Office or Seinfeld (although Arielle really isn't a fan). Some of Ryan's favorite things to do are find new places to eat and golf! He has really perfected his Tiger Woods swang. Ryan used to not like dogs (at all), but Arielle and Aspyn really won him over! Thank you for taking the time to read a little about him!
