We're getting Married!

Rubi and Uriel met at a mutual friend's house on Friendsgiving 2020. He was there with no intentions of meeting anyone new, yet when she walked in through that door wearing her black boots, leggings, autumn colored cardigan and holding pecan pie, it was as if the gates to heaven itself had opened. Needless to say, it was attraction at first sight, and the sparks we're definitely flying that night. Afterwards, Rubi's friends even accused her of a bit of flirting. She was still living in Midland at the time, so 3 months later Uriel took a trip to visit her for the first time. On March 7, 2021 they officially became a couple! The first year and half was a long distance relationship, which each of them taking turns visiting each other every month. Needless to say, this long distance relationship wasn't easy, but they made it work! In the summer of 2022, Rubi finally moved back to Houston to be with her friends and family, and their relationship entered the next phase. However, they were never deterred to stop doing the things normal couples did and went on many trips and travels over the years. On November 2023, nearly three years after they had met, they took a vacation to Europe. They got to visit many famous landmarks in London and on November 11, Uriel proposed to Rubi at the Louvre in Paris. Thankfully, Rubi said yes and they are now happily engaged. As a famous philosopher once said, "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." We are so excited to continue our story and celebrate with all of our family and friends!
