Welcome to Brantome! There are lots of things to do in the area during your stay. Here are a few of our suggestions:

Fun and beautiful way to discover the town! There are a number of companies offering kayaking down the rivers in Brantome, but we've included a link to the one we know best.

Kayaking

A natural cave full of stalactites and stalagmites, and a few small prehistoric drawings - just 20 mins from Brantome town.

Grottes de Villars

If you walk down to the river's edge, there are several tour companies offering boat rides down the River Dronne for a picturesque introduction to the town.

Riverside Benedictine abbey with an 11th-century bell tower & cliff caves once lived in by monks.

L'Abbaye de Brantome (Benedictine Abbey)

Arboretum and park over 12 acres, with flower borders, fountains and statues. Nice for taking a walk through the woods and having a picnic by the river.

Explore Brantome by hiring a bike or an electric bike.

There is a general market on every Friday morning in Brantome, or a local farm produce market on Tuesday mornings (for those extra French cheese stock ups).
