We used to live down the road from here, and would eat here at least once a month. While it's always busy, it is very worth the wait - the food is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxed.
If you don't have time for a sit down, or don't want to wait to be seated, The Better Bagel is one shopping strip over from Brownstone's and has the same owner! Their food is delicious (albeit more limited menu than the restaurant) and the staff super friendly.
So we were invited here (and to the Hicksville location) for dinner with some of the families from YH Park. The food is amazing and we had an absolute blast, both times!
A little hole in the wall, we went here for the first time only this fall, 2019, and while ordering can be a bit confusing (they bring around pre-made side dishes on carts constantly), the food is delicious. They make an amazing steamed custard bun, and have a personal favorite of Jen's, sesame buns! The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff very helpful.
If you have time, and don't mind driving (or training), Mu is absolutely worth the trip. Some of the best ramen we've ever had, Jen's bridesmaid Steph actually introduced us to this little hole in the wall. Seating is *very* limited, so if you're going to make the trip, be sure to be there when they open so you can be seated!
We started going here for the Amigurumi show they host annually every winter (since Jen loves to crochet)! They also serve food, and we discovered, to our delight, that it was absolutely delicious. It's become an annual tradition now for us to go for the show and stay for the food.
