You can absolutely arrange a quick/cheap Uber ride from this airport (just 10-15 minutes from the resort), but if you plan to need a car to explore, this is the link to secure your own vehicle for your stay.

Turo Car Sharing/Rental - HHI or Savannah Airport

Sometimes the stock/availability of rental cars at the HHI Airport are limited because it is such a small airport. Ron and I personally have used & recommend Turo if you need a rental car. There are several options where you can rent and they will drop the car off at the airport, and you return at the airport. Super simple, reasonably priced (depending on what vehicle you pick) and lots of choices!

Savannah / Hilton Head International Airport

You will need to make arrangements to get from this airport to the resort or rent a car. This is about a 45 minute drive to the resort.

From this airport, it is advised to secure a rental car. This is about a 45-50 minute drive to the resort.

House Or Rental

AirBNB - Shipyard Resort

AirBNB is a GREAT option for staying within the resort if you do not want to stay at Sonesta Hotel. There are a lot of places that range in size. If you want to shag up with family/friends, there are some great townhouses, multiple room condos, etc available. ONLY CAVEAT TO AIRBNB - any guests not staying at the Sonesta Hotel, will not have access to the main pool/pool bar. There are several other smaller pools in the resort, but the hotel pool will be off limits to the AirBNB guests. **PLEASE BE SURE TO CONFIRM WITH THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY THAT THEY ARE WITHIN THE SONESTA / SHIPYARD RESORT BEFORE FINALIZING YOUR BOOKING.** As mentioned, you must reserve your accommodations within the Sonesta / Shipyard Resort/Complex. I did some scrolling myself, and noticed that sometimes the app took me to places near but not in the Resort. SO PLEASE PLEASE JUST DOUBLE CHECK BEFORE BOOKING!
