Things to Do Near Sonesta Resort
This is a site with general ideas of things to do near the resort. Within the resort there are several pools, pool bar, tennis courts (and you can schedule lessons), Sonesta restaurant, golf courses and MUCH more to explore!
Shipyard Golf Club
There are several courses within the resort. Tee times do book up quickly, so be sure to reserve your tee times in advance. **Some places do have discounts/coupons for the Shipyard golf courses. Be sure to ask wherever you make your accommodations.**
The Jazz Corner
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIKE JAZZ MUSIC TO LOVE THIS PLACE! This is one of our favorite things to do as a family while on the Island. **This place books months in advance. DO NOT WAIT TO MAKE RESERVATIONS!**
The Smokehouse
This place has AMAZING food and a good beer selection. Ron and I love this place for a casual meal.
Aunt Chiladas Easy Street Cafe
This is a Termohlen family tradition... they have a great happy hour, yummy margaritas and a really cool outdoor patio (sometimes with live music).
Pirate's Island Adventure Golf
This is a fun outdoor event that everyone can enjoy!
The Beach
There are many options for beaches while on the Island. There is direct access to the beach from the Shipyard/Sonesta Resort.
Savannah, GA
Downtown Savannah is BEAUTIFUL. It is about an hour drive from Hilton Head, but if you have a day and want to see it, definitely make a trip out of it. The streets are filled with shops, restaurants and cool places to see.
