We're getting married!

Roberto and I met on a crisp fall day during the start of our Junior year at Northern Arizona University- Go Jacks! At the time, I was working as an Orientation Leader for our college and Roberto was a soccer player on the NAU team. It was a beautiful Saturday morning and I quite literally "bumped" into him as I was leaving my shared apartment and as he was coming in with a few buddies to go to a tailgate with my roommates. Even with our very busy schedules, we always somehow managed to keep running into each other through hanging out with our mutual friends (little did I know, he was actually bending over backward to keep seeing me). A few pool parties, Taco Tuesdays, concerts, and a spontaneous, epic trip to Zion National Park later...I knew I never wanted to stop adventuring with him. Our first official date was at a Thai restaurant and the most adorable gelato shop in downtown Flagstaff following a trip up to Lowell Observatory to look out into the night sky. Roberto is the most adventurous, kind, and genuine human and I can't wait to keep adventuring through life with him!

When I first met Rachael, she was rushing out of her apartment and I had a feeling I just happened to be at the right place at the right time on the right day. I knew from the moment I saw her that she would be the most precious person in my life. I proposed to Rachael during a family photoshoot on our summer trip to Carmel, California. I needed it to be the biggest surprise of her life since Rachael is a detective and always figures things out before they happen (shoutout to Rachael's best friend, sister, brother-in-law, and dad for the help). I have always known I would one day marry Rachael and I couldn't wait to finally ask her to be my wife after 5 years. On the way to the photo session, I cued "Wouldn't It Be Nice" by the Beach Boys, stuffed her ring in my sock, and tried to remain calm. When the time finally came to get down on one knee, I pulled the ring out and Rachael said "Are you for real? YES!". I can't wait to marry Rachael in Alaska, one of the most special places in the whole world. Her laugh and compassionate heart for all people are what I love most about her. Together we've moved across the country, raised 3 puppies, and have created countless memories. I'm beyond excited to marry the girl of my dreams!
