Things To Do

Bishop Arts District

Dallas, TX 75208

This part of South Dallas is an eclectic mixture of new and historic. It boasts unique restaurants, shops, and bars, with occasional street markets and things to do for the whole family. It’s a five minute drive from the Schlenker Family household if you want to pop in and say hello!

The Dallas World Aquarium

1801 North Griffin Street, Dallas, TX 75202

Get out of the heat in this secluded oasis in the middle of Downtown Dallas. Besides the obvious aquatics, the aquarium also has an immersive jungle area so you get a little bit of zoo with your fishies.

NorthPark Center

8687 North Central Expressway, Dallas, TX 75225

Forgot your wedding outfit? Stop by the best mall Dallas has to offer, and stay for some Kate Weiser chocolates (ask for Olivia) and lunch!

Perot Museum of Nature and Science

2201 North Field Street, Dallas, TX 75201

This immersive skyscraper museum in the Dallas Arts District has dedicated each floor to a different type of science. And if you’re around DFW on Thursday night, stop by from 6-10pm for the museum’s 21+ events. Take your drink around all the same exhibits, without any of the kids!

Uptown

Dallas, TX

Bar hop through the nicer part of Downtown Dallas. You can hop aboard the FREE McKinney Ave trolley to get back and forth between here and the Arts District.

Klyde Warren Park

2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Dallas, TX 75201

Enjoy cultivated nature at the heart of Downtown Dallas. This promenade is lined with cafés and food trucks, and is walking distance from all the cool art museums and Uptown.

Dallas Museum of Art

1717 North Harwood Street, Dallas, TX 75201

This free art museum has rotating exhibits so you always get to see new (old) stuff! Across the street from Klyde Warren Park and the Nasher Sculpture Center, and attached to the Crow Museum of Asian Art.

Knox / Henderson

Dallas, TX

Eat and drink in this established area of North Dallas. Right around the corner from Northpark Center.

Lower Greenville

Dallas, TX

If you’re looking for rooftop restaurants juxtaposed next to old dive bars, look no farther. On the weekends visit one of their cute street markets and pick out a plant from Trader Joe’s (which is where you can totally park, as long as it’s not overnight).

For all the days along the way
