https://www.altalodge.com/accessibility-and-accommodations/ Alta Lodge is Alta's first ski lodge and true to the roots. It is not the most ADA accessible. There will be a service to take you from the entrance around to the main level and down to the ceremony if stairs are an issue. If you need a place to stay that is ADA accessible, we recommend the Snowpine Lodge or Snowbird that are a 2 minute car ride from the venue!
Yes, we would love to see you in your best cocktail, semi-formal attire!
We are hoping to have a full outdoor ceremony and reception. September in the Utah mountains can be unpredictable, but warm when the sun is out and cools off when the sun sets. Plan accordingly, bring a jacket! There will be heaters around the deck to warm up, if needed.
Yes, please let us know when you RSVP any food allergies that we can accommodate!
Best choice is to rent a car! If you are staying at the hotel, the confirmation email should include information about their shuttle service which is ~$90 roundtrip to and from the airport. We don't recommend Uber/Lyft as their is limited availability once in the canyon for a Uber/Lyft to pick you up!
During event hours, 09/30 5:00-11:00pm, all alcohol must be served by Alta Lodge and no outside alcohol or food is permitted. Outside of event hours (no bartenders serving alcohol), you may have your own drinks throughout the Lodge. There is an awesome lounge upstairs for apres. We recommend bringing some drinks and a cooler!
Utah has come a long way since we started school in 2018 with their liquor laws! You can buy beer and seltzers at any gas station or grocery store. If you're wanting hard liquor or wine, you will need to go to a state liquor store located in Cottonwood Heights or SLC. There are no convenience stores once in the canyon, so we recommend stopping somewhere before heading up so you can have some drinks during the day or after the wedding! Psst... Be weary of drinking at altitude! We will be at 8,000 ft ;)
