We met on our first day of graduate school at Rocky Mountain University in Provo, UT in September of 2018. We both decided to go to Utah to leave the Midwest and Texas and get a chance to explore the mountains and desert. We quickly got along and were both in the same friend group, but nothing came to fruition till coming back from Winter Break in 2018. We hit it off and began dating February 2019 and spent the next 2 and a half years of grad school distracting each other from studying by skiing, hiking, and weekend trips. After we graduated we started working as Travel Physical Therapists where we go on 3+ month contracts working in different areas. After our 2nd contract ended in Seattle, we decided to take a 2-week ski roadtrip to Lake Tahoe, Jackson Hole, Big Sky, and Utah. Robbie had big plans of proposing in Big Sky where we would be meeting up with Allie's sister and Brother-in-law but he just couldn't wait. We woke up in Lake Tahoe on a beautiful morning and he knew this had to be the place. Allie had an inkling it was going to happen, but mid-morning we got off a lift and headed to an out of bounds bowl that looked like had some leftover fresh snow. As we traversed over, Robbie stopped and said "Let's take a picture here, it's beautiful". 10 minutes later of him trying to get our Go-pro to stick in the snow and not slide down, Robbie got down on one knee and asked Allie to spend our lives together. It was imperfectly perfectly us, intimate and private, with one small, but long ha, hiccup, in a place we love, doing a hobby that really kickstarted our relationship. We knew we had to go back to Utah to tie the knot, even better at one our favorite ski resorts, Alta that we have spent many hours racing down ski runs and drinking beer. We can't wait to celebrate here with you!
