Matron of Honor
Erin and Valerie met at church in 2015 and have been in the same small group every since! Valerie desperately wanted to be friends with Erin, so when Erin was looking for a friend who would run a half marathon with her, Valerie jumped at the opportunity despite never having run more than 3 miles before. They were running buddies for a few years and now enjoy living five houses away from each other in Tualatin.
Best Man
Silas has known Andrew his entire life. The two are inseparable and have been housemates (even at times, roommates) for over six years. Silas developed a few fun nicknames for Andrew a couple years into their relationship: Father, Dad, and Papa.
Matron of Honor
Angela and Valerie met through a mutual friend, Shiloh Powers, in 2011. The were acquaintances for about a year until they played an epic game of euchre together and the rest is history! As three single gals in Eugene in the fall of 2012, Angela, Shiloh, and Valerie began a weekly tradition of Wine Wednesday on Thursday (WWOT) until Valerie moved to Portland in 2015. Angela's home has become Valerie's Eugene home-base since then.
Groomsman
Andrew and Danny have been life long friends and met when they were infants. Their fathers were close friends who served on the same navel ship in the military long before their mothers were ever a part of the picture. Andrew and Danny have enjoyed 39 years as friends, roommates, and even colleagues for nearly 6 years at Birch Community Services. Danny's endless resume of (circus) talents have been the catalyst to countless adventures over the decades ensuring a never ending supply of stories and laughter.
Bridesmaid
Lauren and Valerie have been friends since the first day of 6th grade. Since Valerie was the only new girl that year, the admissions office paired Lauren up as Valerie's buddy for her first day of school. They have been attached at the hip every since! Through middle school, high school, going to college 4 hours and 22 minutes away, moving back to the west coast for grad schools and beyond, Lauren and Valerie have never ceased to have regular phone calls and visits that are mostly filled with their identical laughing/breathing patterns.
Groomsman
The eldest of five brothers, Josh and Andrew have a special bond because they played football and track & field together in high school. Often you can find Andrew and Silas chasing cattle and chickens at Josh's ranch in Joseph, OR. Cowboy Josh has always cherished family time and continues to foster wonderful outdoor adventures for all of his family members.
Bridesmaid
Peggy and Valerie have been friends since middle school and played volleyball, basketball, and tennis together (while mostly just having fun). They won the $75 cash prize for the use of statistics in their science fair projects together their sophomore and junior years, which will they will forever keep on their resumes. Valerie and Peggy spent much of their free time together during summer breaks watching high quality TV like Hell's Kitchen, Desperate Housewives, and Big Brother.
Groomsman
Nathan, the second youngest of the Rowlett brothers, and Andrew have always been close. As kids, you could find them doing everything together like snowboarding, football, track & field, basketball, ultimate frisbee, and more. Nathan swiftly became more proficient at all those sports. To this day, they love to debate that reality.
Bridesmaid
Katie and Valerie met on August 17, 2007 on the first day of Bucknell orientation. Through their four years at Bucknell, Katie and Valerie became attached at the hip, joining Delta Gamma together, taking a sewing class together, crafting, going to the gym, and creating their own signature coffee drink (The Italian Stallion). Katie often helped Valerie with transportation to and from the airport throughout college and even though she lives in Baltimore, they continue to visit each other as often as they can.

Isaiah, the youngest Rowlett brother, and Andrew enjoy spending an immense amount of time together these days. Isaiah is father to two highly energetic and fun twin brothers who bring immense joy to their uncle, Andrew, and cousin, Silas. Isaiah, his wonderful family, and Andrew can be found enjoying time at the river, Edgefield McMenamins, and countless adventures together.

Shiloh and Valerie met on the first day of graduate school at University of Oregon in June 2011. Valerie happened to sit behind Shiloh in "Science and Math Wars." After class, Shiloh turned around and invited everyone within earshot to go out to lunch! Desperate for friends in a new city, Valerie accepted. They both accepted their first teaching jobs in the Springfield School District and continued to see every week for Wine Wednesday on Thursday until they both moved away from Eugene in 2015.

Andy and Andrew first met at youth group in 2004, during a successful attempt to visit every single Baskin Robins in the Portland metro area in one night (free ice cream day). After several hours of laughter, it was abundantly clear they were going to be friends for life. Andy and Andrew have spent innumerous days on mountaineering excursions, beach trips, camping trips, ski trips, cliff jumping trips, and countless ridiculous adventures together. Andy has been a loyal and trusted friend for over 20 years.
Bridesmaid
Zena and Valerie became fast friends when Zena moved to Portland in 2017 to work for Daniel House. They soon began regularly enjoying happy hour, getting nails done together, and wine tasting together. They became roommates in 2018 and Zena took excellent care of Valerie as she recovered from her broken leg. Zena moved back to Oklahoma at the end of 2018, but they stayed in touch through FaceTime happy hours and many regular phone calls. Zena was the first person who suggested Valerie should start hanging out with Andrew when they first met in 2017. Valerie ignored her at the time. Fast forward to 2023 when Valerie visited Oklahoma and Zena pointed out that Valerie should take some time to think and pray about how much she was talking about what a great guy Andrew was...a few weeks later Valerie and Andrew started dating! Zena is quite the matchmaker...

Ryan and Andrew first became friends freshman year at Portland Christian High School during football practice. The two quickly realized that they were going to be life long friends because they were part of the same friend circles and played nearly all the same sports: football, ski club, track & field, bush jumping, and TP-ing expeditions. Both continue to join each other on ski trips and visit each other in their respective homes in Portland, OR and Little Rock, AR.
Bridesmaid
Sarah is Valerie's cousin. Being four months apart, they grew up together enjoying lots of slumber parties, time and Grandpa and Grandma's, birthday parties, and enjoying playing with their American Girl Dolls together. Now, Sarah is a wonderful dog-aunt to Josie and only lives one mile from Valerie-her home is Josie's favorite destination for a walk.

John and Andrew first met during football when John was a senior in high school and Andrew was the ball boy for the Portland Christian football team. Since then, John and Andrew routinely can be found at breweries drinking beer together, skiing, or talking about yet another one of John's motorcycle adventures. John is currently on multiyear long world wide motorcycle trip... feel free to ask him about it!! John, Andrew, Ryan, Danny, and a few other friends explored all of Morocco via motorcycles in 2017.

Eric is brother of the bride and quickly hit it off with Andrew after their first phone call in July 2023 when Eric rescued Valerie and Andrew (via phone) when they became stranded during a boat ride when the engine failed. You can expect that the three will be spending lots of time with Captain Rippey during the summer months on his (fully functional) boat in Ocean Shores.
