We’re excited to be able to subsidize the cost of accommodations and offer our guests a flat rate for the duration of your stay at Ristonchi. All events listed on the “Schedule” page are what we cover as part of your stay. The cost of a three night stay (all meals, alcohol + lodging) is $300.00 per person. We have a master list of all available rooms and as guests RSVP, we will be making room assignments. Some of our friends may be asked to stay together in apartments if flexible. We are definitely being mindful of which friends are familiar with each other. If there are any questions or concerns about this, please please don't hesitate to reach out to Alexis. We want you to be the most comfortable!
We will be providing transportation from Florence to Castello di Ristonchi on Tuesday May 13th. There will be a very strict pick up window that you must meet in order to take advantage of this. Please be sure to arrive in Florence with plenty of time and check your email for more information. We will also coordinate a group shuttle to take guests back to Florence on May 16th @ 11am.
No, but we really hope you do! Please take note: The castle is over 1,000 years old, that being said, it is not luxury. The castle is rustic and charming. The floors are worn and the bathrooms are small and quirky. Keep your eye out because some of the stones in the walls have medieval markings engraved in them. The castle is surrounded by an ancient forest - they live in harmony with nature and don't use harmful chemicals - so there may be a bug, a bee, or a spiderweb around along with the beautiful serene nature. There is heating, but no air conditioning. There are fans in each of the rooms if needed. Luckily, we should have perfect spring weather and should not need heat or air conditioning. There won't be daily cleanings, but all of the basics will be provided for you, such as clean sheets, towels, pillows, blankets, toilet paper, soap and shampoo. There are limited paid laundry services as well as a steamer service for your wedding attire. If this doesn't work for you - there are a few villas you can book about a 15 minute drive from the castle. But we REALLY hope you'll stay on site with us! Check out the castle on instagram!! @castelloristonchi

Absolutely. We will be serving alcohol during the events outlined in the schedule. If you would like more alcohol than what is provided, there will always be the option to purchase more and charge to your room. Note: all alcohol must be purchased at the castle and served by Ristonchi staff. If you bought alcohol from your travels pre wedding, please keep it in your rooms.

The castle is secluded so please bring everything special (like medication) you'll need for the trip with you. Here's a packing list to help get you started: - Italian adapters and converters (2 prongs) - Dinner/Ceremony attire - Swimsuit - Sunscreen - Bug spray (Nurse Lex will have hydrocortisone if you get a bite) - Sunglasses - Sandals - Toothpaste and toothbrush - Hairdryer/Straightener/Curling Iron (must be dual voltage) -- DO NOT recommend bringing expensive hair tools. If you're unsure about dual voltage/adapters ask Alexis! - Hair, skin and makeup products **Recommend bringing a small makeup mirror if you have one** - Copies of your passport - Medical information and medication list (Nurse Lex will also have a first aid kit) - Medication for allergies - Comfortable shoes (if you plan on walking or hiking) - Sweater/Light Jacket/Wrap (please be sure to check the weather) - Euros and credit card We have planned activities but please feel free to bring cards or group games you like!
Yes! Food outside of what is listed in the schedule can be purchased and charged to your room. Feel free to pack snacks if you get late night munchies. Please list dietary restrictions/allergies on the spreadsheet we send after you RSVP.
All events outside of the wedding are totally optional! We hope that you will join us for all of the festivities, but we want your time here to feel like a vacation. Feel free to explore the castle grounds, hike, etc.
You bet! There is wifi in the common areas and outside as well as in the Castello/Tower apartments. The Fattoria and Borghetto apartments have very thick stone walls and do not reach the wifi.
Totally fine! There are shuttle, taxi and private transportation options to get you where you need to go. Please let us know if you need help coordinating this. We have personally used Transfeero, but there are other options such as Rome2Rio or Shuttledirect. The accommodation cost will remain the same for those who need to leave early.
Your presence is our greatest gift. We absolutely do not expect gifts! If you will not be attending and would like to check out our registry, please see the Registry tab!
Feel free to call, text or email us anytime!
