MARC Train: The MARC train is a great option connecting DC and Baltimore whether you're flying into DC or taking a short day trip to DC while in Maryland. (https://www.mta.maryland.gov/schedule?type=marc-train) Amtrak: The Northeast Regional connects much of the East Coast and the Aberdeen, Maryland stop is less than 10 minutes from the wedding venue.

BWI (1 hour) is a Southwest base with multiple daily flights from DSM>STL>BWI. You can catch an Amtrak train from BWI Airport Rail Station to Aberdeen, MD. PHL (1.25 hours) is an American hub and a Frontier Airlines base airport. You can even take Amtrak from Philly to Aberdeen, MD near Havre de Grace if you're so inclined. DCA (1.5 hours) is an American hub with daily flights from DSM + biweekly direct United flights from DSM IAD (2 hours) is less than ideal as it's not connected to mass transit and often results in extreme frustration with severe Beltway traffic.
