Silas was rescued as a puppy from Kentucky through MPR, as was his and Sadie's cousin Roo (Pettig-Kelly). We adopted him a year and a half into dating while still living and working in Boston, splitting lunch outings and shuttling him between our apartments. He became a fantastic older brother to Sadie, and is our sweet velcro baby. We love the work MPR does and all the foster friends we've met over the years!

Sadie was being fostered in the window of a local pet store, Doggie Style, when Rhianna and Silas went for a walk on Friday afternoon of Rhianna's first week of medical school. They locked eyes across the street, and the rest is history. Sadie was found on the streets of Kentucky and brought to Philly by Saved Me, and we're so happy to have our loud rubber potato of a mountain cur.
