Things To Do

We're so excited to invite you to visit Glenwood Springs and explore some of the many reasons why we call this little mountain town our home!

53rd Annual Carbondale Mountain Fair

Music, art, pie-bakin’, wood-splittin’, fly-castin’, belly-dancin’, fun-lovin’ festival since 1971! We absolutely love Mountain Fair, which takes place 10 miles up valley at Sopris Park in Carbondale. Definitely consider making a trip up to Carbondale and checking out the Mountain Fair festivities at some point over the weekend!

Hike Hanging Lake Trail

A beautiful and somewhat strenuous hike in Glenwood Canyon that takes you to a pristine lake tucked up in the mountains. People travel from across the world to visit Hanging Lake, which has necessitated a permit system in recent years. Please visit the website for additional information regarding permits to gain access to the hike.

Hike Scout Trail

A local's favorite that starts right out of town, take a hike up Scout Trail for fantastic views into Glenwood Canyon and overlooking Glenwood Springs!

Hike to Linwood Cemetery

With the trailhead just a block from our house, a short hike up to Linwood Cemetery will reward history buffs as it is home to many of Glenwood Springs' pioneers and nefarious characters, including Doc Holliday's grave marker (Doc's final resting place is still up for debate) and Kid Curry's gravesite.

Bike Glenwood Canyon

Borrow or rent a bike and take a spin through Glenwood Canyon on the bike path. The bike path spans the entire 16 mile length of Glenwood Canyon and is a great way to see the canyon up close and personal!

Bike Rio Grande Trail

Borrow or rent a bike and take a spin up the Roaring Fork Valley on the Rio Grande Trail. The Rio Grande Trail provides 42 miles of multiuse trail that extends all the way up valley to Aspen, a majority of which runs along the Roarking Fork River.

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park

51000 Two Rivers Plaza Road, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601

Glenwood Springs' very own mountaintop amusement park, the Adventure Park is a great way for those old and young to spend a day. Offering breathtaking views, thrilling rides, and cavern tours, the Adventure Park has something for everyone!

Glenwood Hot Springs Pool

401 North River Street, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601

Home of the world's largest hot springs pool, we recommend Glenwood Hot Springs as the preferred hot springs for families to check out the Sopris Splash Zone, with its kid friendly splash pad, water slides, and whitewater tube ride (our personal favorite).

Iron Mountain Hot Springs

281 Centennial Street, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601

We recommend Iron Mountain Hot Springs as the preferred hot springs for adults to check out the WorldSprings section (21+ only), with its bar and 10 World Experience pools which use a unique mineral formula designed to replicate hot springs from around the world, such as the Blue Lagoon in Iceland or Hokkaido in Japan.

Float the River

Located at the confluence of the Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers, Glenwood Springs offers many opportunities to enjoy a day on the water. From a leisurely float through town to an adventurous whitewater experience, there are options for everyone. Please reach out to Renee and Caleb for additional information and recommendations!
