Maid of Honor
Priya is the second sister in Renata’s family. Priya loves spending time with Renata and James, especially when James pays for dinner. James showed Priya the engagement ring secretly and of course the ring met her high standards.
Maid of Honor
Alpana is the third sister in Renata’s family. Renata thinks Alpana is iconic and talks about it often. James and Renata are so happy Alpana attends BGSU so she can come over regularly to discuss her college adventures and use all of Renata’s hair products.
Bridesmaid
I’m addition to being paws-down Barry’s favorite aunt, Katharine is James’s favorite sister, and possibly favorite sibling. James and Renata always look forward to Kath’s visits to their house, where they share pitchers of margaritas, revealing stories from their youths, and plenty of laughs.
Bridesmaid
Lauren is Renata’s sorority little although they were both never really into that. Renata and Lauren grew up 10 minutes away from each other but did not meet until college. Their friendship was absolutely meant to be!
Bridesmaid
Alli has been in Renata’s life since Renata’s freshman year of college. Renata infamously told Alli that she thought she had too many friends and couldn’t take on another. Renata is so thankful Alli is persistent.
Bridesmaid
Morgan and Renata taught Functional Academics together at Penta Career Center. They share a bond so strong, their students thought they were related. In case you are confused too, they are not.
Best Man
James and Luke met in kindergarten, where James distinctly remembers walking up to him and saying, “Luke, I am your father.” Luke, who to this day has never seen a Star War, didn’t think it was that funny. James spent the vast majority of his waking hours from ages 10-25 spending time with Luke, and is a much better person for it.
Best Man
James (Kelly) and Michael (Luke) met in the Miami Men’s Glee Club, where they discovered they shared a love for Cleveland sports, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and mid-2000s angsty pop-punk. Since then, they’ve developed far less cringey interests, such as sports gambling and MarioKart.
Groomsman
James met Tom met while they attended Central Catholic High School, and Tom was integral in showing James that Miami was the right choice for college. They also lived together from 2016 until 2020, when people started asking too many questions about two unmarried men in their 30s.
Groomsman
Kane is James’s cousin, and the most tolerable OSU fan James knows. James and Kane have grown from children playing with Power Rangers, Transformers, BeatleBorgs, and Pokémon in their grandmother’s basement every Sunday, to successful, mature adults who spend their fall Sundays rooting for the Lions and Browns.
