Hayley and Michael were brought together by their generation's time-tested matchmaker–Tinder. Michael was a student at MTSU at the time and agreed to make the long drive up to Nashville for their first date. When Hayley first laid eyes on his man bun in person she thought it would probably be a short date and she'd be back to watch a concert with her friends in no time. But instead, they sat talking and laughing for hours. The handsome man with the bun had won Hayley's heart, and the rest is history!

After over a year of living through a pandemic and getting vaccinated, Hayley and Michael were more than ready to get out of their apartment. It was a beautiful, sunny day and their friends Danielle and Will suggested going out to lunch at The Local (formally known as The Country and the place of Hayley and Michael's first date). Unbeknownst to Hayley, Michael enlisted Danielle to hold the engagement ring in her purse on their way to lunch. At a planned rendevous near the bathrooms, Danielle gave Michael the ring and went over what he was going to say. Hayley was delightfully unaware as they came back and sat around the table. She was just about to take a bite of a fried pickle (already dipping in the ranch and everything) when Michael said, "I have an announcement to make!" Hayley thought she'd better pay attention to this, and abandoned the pickle immediately. Michael got down on one knee and promptly forgot everything he had just practiced with Danielle and said, "Hayley you've changed my life...will you be my wife." Hayley of course said yes and that's why you're now reading this because they're getting married!
