If you want to stick your feet in the salty waters of the Great Salt Lake, go on this easy hike to and from the lake. My parents and I did this hike last year! The distance will depend on the lake level, but last year it was probably 2 miles round trip on flat ground.
Looking for an easy hike up in the canyons? This one is for you! This 1 mile boardwalk path around a quiet lake is a nice hike. Get there in the early morning and you just might see a moose or two. Be warned, Brighton is at 8000 ft above sea level, so be prepared to be out of breath and put on some sun screen.
Want a great view of Downtown and the Wasatch? This hike can get you just that. Just park on the street near this tailhead and you are good to go! There are two versions of this hike, an easy one and a harder one. The easy one, be sure to catch the first left of the trail to the small lookout area. The harder one is the path that continues straight and goes up 400 ft in elevation (over a half mile). Both have great views.
Visit a place where a heard of buffalo roam free with fantastic views of both the mountains and the Great Salt Lake. Note this is a state park and requires a $15/car entry fee.
