On June 28, 2018, Vinny and Rachele met in her kitchen. Vinny was about to move to Chicago for work, so Rachele's roommate, and Vinny's good friend, Melissa decided to host him a going away party with the theme... "Vinny's Going to Ch(a)i Town!" Rachele had just gotten back from France and was desperately trying to avoid this party at her house for some guy she'd never met. Hoping to be inconspicuous, she walked in late through the back door and there was Vinny, at her kitchen counter grating spices and making chai from scratch. He gave her a cup, her first cup of homemade chai. It got them talking. She was totally captivated by his charisma and magnetic laugh and he by her beauty, wit and kindness. They ended up chatting the night away, until all the other guests had gone. It only made sense to exchange numbers and, from that moment on, not a day has gone by where they haven't spoken. On Dec. 18, 2021, Vinny brought it full circle, proposing to Rachele in their kitchen and on November 26, 2023, they'll be married in front of all the people they love most. And they could not be more excited to have you there with them as they begin this beautiful new chapter together.
