Both Dominick and Rachel were hesitant to meet after being matched for networking at work, but after some encouragement from managers, they met for a preliminary get-to-know-you. That meeting ran well over the scheduled time and their conversation flowed easily. As the summer turned into fall their one-on-ones became the highlight of the month. Dominick planned ways to pull Rachel out of the office setting, scheduling walks and coffee chats before he finally asked her on a date.
Their first date lasted over 7 hours - they shut down the shushi restaurant and another bar, talking non-stop. In between locations and after the date, Rachel called friends saying she thought that this would be the start of something special.
Right at the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine, Dominick came home to their first Longmeadow house with a "watch" for Rachel. As she opened the watch box with a ring hidden inside, Dominick got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Rachel cried for a few minutes before she actually said "Yes!"
