The ceremony and reception will both be held at the same location - Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. After the ceremony, there will be a brief cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dancing!
Because guests will be choosing their preferred accommodations, transportation to/from the event will not be provided. Please let us know if you need assistance with setting up transportation.
YES!! We have full access to tour the gardens during the event so if at any point you feel the urge to walk around, please do! That being said, please bring shoes that you are able to walk around in (not just for strolling around, but for walking on gravel and grass at times as well). Since our wedding will be in March, we do recommend taking in the sights sooner rather than later, though, so you can see as much as possible before the sun sets.
This is Charleston! March in Charleston is not the same as March in Michigan (thank goodness) so it will be spring in full bloom! That means put on your pastels and florals but also bring a light jacket because once the sun sets it can and likely will get a little bit brisk. Expect sunshine, a light breeze, partly cloudy, and a high of 70-75 degrees.
There will be free parking right next to where the ceremony and reception are held. Our wedding will be held at the Carriage House. Magnolia will have signs up directing you to where the wedding is taking place.
Tsk tsk tsk. We know that you know the answer to this but we will tell you anyway because we love you. A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
