Question

IS THERE PARKING AT YOUR WEDDING VENUE?

Answer

Yes! The lots shaded green and blue in the image at the top of the page are free public parking. The main entrance to The Loft at 132 is located off Market St. and is where you should plan to enter. There is an ADA entrance on the side of the building.

Question

WHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO GET TO AND FROM YOUR WEDDING VENUE?

Answer

If you'd rather not drive, we've set up Uber voucher codes, which will cover a ride to or from the venue. Use the code r2ueJm9Qr6t in the Uber app to accept the voucher.

Question

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

Yes! There is a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn and at Cambria Hotel Madison East. See the "Travel" page for more details.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is set to start at 4:00. Doors to the venue will open at 3:30. We'd recommend you aim to arrive ~20 minutes early to give yourself time to get seated.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour are planned to be outdoors on the roof of the venue. The reception and dancing will be indoors at the same venue location.

Question

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

While we can't predict what it will be like for our wedding day, typical temperatures in Madison in mid-August reach a high of ~80 and a low of ~60 at night.

Question

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

Please wear cocktail attire! For women: cocktail or floral dresses, dressy jumpsuits, etc. would work. For men: Dress shirt and tie, slacks, plus a jacket or blazer :)

Question

What are the wedding colors?

Answer

The wedding will be fall themed as far as décor, with the bridesmaids in shades of orange (terracotta, spice, etc.) and the groomsmen in navy.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

You bet! Beer and wine will be on us for the night. During cocktail hour we'll also have a selection of mixed drinks available.

Question

What is the wedding day itinerary?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4 pm. The cocktail hour will start immediately after the ceremony and last approximately 1 hour. After cocktail hour, guests will move inside to the reception space for dinner and speeches. Last call will be around 10:50, and the reception will end at 11:00 pm. Please see the "Schedule" page for more details.

Question

I got the save the date! When will I receive the invitation?

Answer

You should expect your invitation to arrive in early May. If you received a save the date but haven't received an invitation by mid-May, please reach out to the couple!

Question

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Answer

Either works! We invite you to RSVP online using the "RSVP" tab, or by mailing in the RSVP card sent with the invitation. Note that the "RSVP" page won't be visible until our invitations are sent out!

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 7th, 2024.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Both the save the date and invitation will list who is included in the invitation. If it is not clear, please don't hesitate to reach out to the bride or groom to ask!

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

Please make it a date night for you and yours! We have chosen for our wedding to be an adults only occasion. We hope the advanced notice means you will be able to share in our special day.

Question

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entrée. There will be a late night snack provided as well. By default there will be an even mix of meat and non-meat options. If you have any dietary restrictions, please list them when you RSVP. The caterer can accommodate any dietary restriction. If you have concerns, please reach out to either the bride or groom.

Question

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Our preference would be to have gifts delivered to our home at 1929 Melrose St, Madison WI 53704. A wedding card box will be at our reception. We will have a registry available on this website around 6 months out from the wedding.
