Golf on The Gulf! This is a great little spot right beside the beach that has mini-golf, ice cream, corn hole & a small arcade. Grab a Rum Bucket from Crabs next door or some ice cream inside and play a round of golf with the aliens :) Fun for adults and kids alike!
Where we got engaged! This is our Sunday spot - we didn't miss a Sunday here for the entire summer! Whether it's seafood, steak, sushi or crabs, they got 'em! Have fun at the tiki bar right on the beach or grab some food. You can usually expect live music or hermit crab races :) Their Crab Traps & Rum Buckets are a must try!
If you want to check out the Bay Side, head over to Flounder's! When you go, make sure you order a Diesel Fuel or a Bushwacker at the bar ;) Play a game of volleyball and enjoy live music - if you have kids, there's a playground right in the sand behind the restaurant.
Want some activities right on the bay? Then head to Laguna's! Try out the Zip Line, Ropes Course and the Go-Kart track. There's also a splash pad and clip n' climb climbing structures. Here, you can also find rentals for jet-ski's, pontoon boats, parasailing, and dolphin cruises! Live entertainment every weekend and a giant TV screen outside great for games!
Hands down our favorite place to sight see, watch the sunset, and get a little reminder of our American history. It's a beautiful drive between sand dunes all the way to the historical fort that you can walk through with no one to tell you "don't climb that!!" A little description about the Fort: "Fort Pickens was designed and constructed to defend Pensacola Bay and the Pensacola Navy Yard and Depot from foreign attacks. Its purpose would reach beyond the physical boundaries of the Gulf frontier. Fort Pickens stood to safeguard the democratic institutions of the federal Republic, and today it is an enduring symbol of the US."
Take a stroll down the boardwalk and you might just see some marine-life through the Emerald water! You can rent fishing poles if you'd like to fish. Visit their website for more info if you plan on fishing! (I think you can catch sharks there too with special permission).
Ever seen over a million one dollar bills hanging from the ceiling? Well now's your chance! Cross Pensacola Bay Bridge on your way downtown and you'll pass by McGuire's. This Irish pub has a great atmosphere and is truly authentic! Be sure to make a reservation, as it is always packed in there.
This is where we had the after party for our courthouse wedding! You CANNOT miss this one. Hands down the coolest bar we have ever seen. There are 7 rooms/bars all under the same roof, each themed differently. Check out the website to look at all the different themes :) Make sure you go at night and leave the kids at home!
15 people per DoD ID Card Holder are allowed on base. Note: The National Naval Aviation Museum is open Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. to current Department of Defense (DoD) ID cardholders. Access to NAS Pensacola is limited to Department of Defense (DoD) ID card holders (active duty service members, retirees, and their families). A bit of a drive from the resort... but NAS Pensacola's Aviation Museum is a fun place to check out if you can carpool with someone who has a DoD ID Card! If you are able to get on base, climb the Lighthouse, too!
