First, welcome! Thanks for joining us! When in your particular situation, we take MARTA, and not just because Pierce adores public transit. We recommend this because 1) it’s one of the things MARTA is good about 2) Atlanta traffic can be uniquely irrational. If you’re staying in one of the recommended hotels, for example, hop on a train (connected to the airport) and ride about 25 minutes until you get to the Midtown or Arts Center stop (depending on the hotel). Then it’s a short walk or very quick ride to your destination. Even if you’re not staying in one of the hotels, MARTA will likely get you to a less congested area. We don’t want you having nightmares about the Connector if it can be avoided.
Isn’t it?! We’re very excited to be having our wedding at Cator Woolford and in the Fall, no less. It was important to us to get an outdoor space as we really enjoy how the seasons express themselves here. Expect it to look transitional, textured, and splashed with an autumnal pallet. If we’re lucky, then the very large ginkgo will be a fluorescent yellow, much to Lauren’s delight. We do want to mention that all proceeds from hosting the event at Cator Woolford Gardens support the Frazer Center, which offers research-based education, vocational support, and therapeutic intervention to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Their Early Education program, an inclusive environment that brings together children with and without disabilities, is in the same building complex as the reception. We toured the venue on an afternoon as the children were leaving school and it really drove home how special a place this is.
In the interest of making this simple, we’ll defer to Kelsey McKinney and tell you it’s “Very Fancy*" To give you a little more, we ask: If you will be wearing a suit, then pair it with a tie. If you will be wearing a dress, then it should be long. For what it’s worth, Pierce will be wearing a tuxedo. * https://bit.ly/3vUaJmj
This is unknowable, but we can at least give you our hunch and highlight contingencies. It will likely be warm and light until late (Atlanta is on the far Western side of the Eastern Time Zone.). If it were to rain, then Cator Woolford provides a large, tented space that will accommodate everyone, for ceremony and cocktail hour. As for cold, the ceremony will be brief, regardless, and we’ll provide blankets for folks if need be. That’s all to say, you needn’t worry – just hope for warmth and sun.
If you are local and plan to drive, there is ample parking at Cator Woolford. Ride sharing is encouraged if you are local and plan to be drinking, and will be accessible from the venue. For those staying at any of the three hotels in Midtown where we have reserved room blocks, there will be a complimentary shuttle running between the hotels and the venue. There will be an initial pick up beginning at 3:45 to Cator Woolford, and 2 shuttle trips back to the hotels at the end of the evening–one at 9pm, and another at 10pm. Specific details on shuttle pick up locations and times to come!
Absolutely, yes! Our superb caterer, Sun In My Belly, will have a specialized meal prepared for those with allergies or dietary restrictions. In order to inform us if you will need the specialized meal, please head to the RSVP section of our website, where you will have an option to inform us of any dietary needs after proceeding to the "Dinner and Dancing" event.

If you’ve been invited to our wedding, then chances are you already follow CDC guidelines on vaccinating against Covid-19. To be blunt, do not come to our wedding if you are not fully vaccinated. Thank you to those of you who have embraced community health, and we appreciate everyone respecting this requirement. This is a small step, but a very meaningful one to us.
