This is our favorite Camden restaurant! Sit outside and enjoy watching the boats come in and out of the Camden Harbor.
This is one of our favorite lighthouses to visit and is located in Port Clyde, about 26 miles south of Camden. Fun Fact: This is the lighthouse that Forrest Gump runs to in his long running scene.
You cannot leave Maine without having a lobstah roll from McLoons. Trust us on this one. We look forward to it every year and often make multiple trips. Worth. It.
Hands down, our absolute favorite lighthouse in Maine! We recommend going to the top of the lighthouse for amazing views, then explore and climb down the beautiful rocks to get even closer to the crashing waves. This is a bit of a drive, but well worth it!
Step 1: Ask for a table outside to take in awesome Camden Harbor views. Step 2: Order blueberry pancakes (don't forget to ask for real maple syrup). Step 3: Enjoy!
This is a special memory to us as we got engaged on a sunset cruise aboard the 'Heritage' in the Camden Harbor. Individual cruises can hold up to six people and we recommend Captain Jeff with Sail Camden (www.sailcamden.com), or Nancy Rowe (sailcamden@gmail.com). Don't forget a bottle (or two!) of wine to enjoy as you take in the great views of Camden.
From the Samoset, you can see the light from Owl's Head Lighthouse across the bay. It is a little hike to get to it, but the views from the top are amazing.
The Rockland Breakwater and Lighthouse is directly in front of the Samoset. To get to the lighthouse, it is about a mile hike across granite blocks in the middle of the water, but is one of our absolute favorite walks.
A great hike or drive up to Mt. Battie, where you can enjoy amazing views of the Camden Harbor and all of coastal Maine.
