About 6 months after Patrick moved back to Houston from Baton Rouge, Caitlin and Patrick swiped right and matched on Bumble (online dating CAN work!). After texting for a week, they decided to meet for brunch and it was an instant connection! Four hours and two locations later, Patrick and Caitlin parted ways... but not for long. Patrick asked Caitlin to go on a second date the following day and the two have been inseparable ever since.

One of the reasons the first date was so long was because the couple discovered a common love for Maine. With Patrick having family in Maine and Caitlin having vacationed there with her family for years, it was an obvious connection and they immediately dreamed of the day they would visit together. Fast forward (almost) two years (and their second Maine trip together), Caitlin and Patrick spent a long weekend with friends in their happy place. On Saturday, July 14, they went out on a sunset cruise aboard the 'Heritage' in the Camden harbor. While taking a photo at the front of the boat, that Caitlin thought was just another typical couples photo, Patrick gave Caitlin the surprise of a lifetime when he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes and the two cannot wait to sail into forever together!

It is only fitting that we continue this journey to forever in Maine! We are so excited to get married in the place that helped build our connection from the very beginning and cannot wait to share this special place with our closest family and friends.
