Joanna Morgan

Matron of Honor

Joanna is Jennifer's wonderful older sister whom she has looked up to her entire life. Their childhood years saw big changes through many moves, plenty of bickering, but always so much love. They've become closer than ever as adults and spend as much time together as possible when Jennifer visits home. Jennifer loves that they can go from losing it with laughter to talking about the deepest parts of life without batting an eye. Joanna is a nurse, a wife, and mother of the sweetest baby boy, Christopher, and her dog Sergeant.

Shawn Knabel

Best Man

Shawn and Silas first met in 2007. Silas thought Shawn was almost too aggressively nice but the two bonded over their love for gratuitous guitar solos and their love of Jimmy Page. 16 years of various ups and downs later, Shawn is one of Silas' best friends. He lives in Los Angeles actively working on his dream in the field of astrophysics.

Jessie Luo

Maid of Honor

Jennifer and Jessie have best best friends since the notoriously awkward middle school days. While less awkward as adults (hopefully) you may see a completely different side from both of them than ever before when they're together. What started as the two of them drawing comics together during gym class has turned into Jessie working full-time as an incredible freelance illustrator. Jennifer can count on Jessie like no other, and is constantly in awe of her strength, how true she stays to herself, and the beauty she brings to peoples lives both through her art, and her friendship. Just like Jessie said when she got married, they've planned on being each others maid of honors since Day 1.

Allijah Motika

Groomsman

When Allijah and Silas first met, they hated each other. Over the next couple of years, the two would go on to become room mates, band mates, and best friends. Allijah now lives in beautiful Bellingham, WA with his wife Felicia and works at Western Washington University.

Beth Butcher

Bridesmaid

Beth and Jennifer met in Lexington Youth Theater's 2008 production of Bye Bye Birdie. They bonded over being the new kids and quickly became best friends. Their high school years saw many sleepover nights of staying up giggling until 5am, making videos they thought were comedic gold (that may or not still be lurking in the depths of Youtube), and endless rehearsals. They may not be able to make it to 5am anymore, but the amount of joy, as well as love and support they bring to each others lives, has only grown through the years.

Sophia Brand

Groomswoman

Silas and Sophia met during a traumatically awkward situation at Catawba College. In what would become a hilarious twist of fate, Jenny and another student were given the task to assign seniors (Silas) freshman littles (Sophia). Against all odds, four years later, the two would begin to collaborate on what would become a library of songs, live performances, and would become some of the closest of friends. Oh, and she really loves Jenny too.

Briana Browne

Bridesmaid

When Briana and Jennifer met on New Year's Eve in 2014, they felt an instant spark of friendship. Asking each other to be friends that night was akin to the giddiness felt as a kid making a new best friend on the playground. She is someone who never lets you forget how much you are loved and is always ready and willing to step in and help in any situation. These days, Briana and Jennifer's happy place is plopped on a blanket in the grass at a concert, with Daddy's Dogs in hand.

Jake Martin

Groomsman

Silas and Jake first met in their Freshman year of Catawba College in a moment fueled by terror and social anxiety that only exists at this part of your life. They bonded over their need to incessantly noodle guitar solos over anything and would go on to become (just like Allijah) room mates, band mates, and some of the closest friends. Jake lives in Wilmington, NC with is wife Caitlin and daughter Amelia and works for InTune magazine.

Scott Bishop

Officiant

Silas has known Scott since he transferred in during the 4th grade at Holy Trinity. The two would not really become friends until about 2008 when a group of mutual friends would bring them back together. Since then and through college, Scott has always been a great talker, listener, and provider of delicious libations of the Kentucky variety. Scott works for Diageo at the legendary Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville overseeing bottling of many a brown liquor you've probably heard of. He is also the father of a wonderful cat, Alexander the Boop.
