Kahului Airport (OGG) is the primary airport on the island of Maui. The popular area of Kaanapali is about 45 minutes from the airport and the wedding venue is about an hour from the airport.
We strongly suggest it! The popular Kaanapali Beach and Kapalua Beach areas are between 45 minutes to an hour from the airport, located in the northwest side of Maui. Certain accommodations do offer shuttle service to/from the airport. If you want to explore the island almost everything can be done with a car, independently of a tour - the most popular activity being the Road to Hana (which takes an entire day!). The are several car rental options right at the airport.
Everyone is! And we're so happy that you will be joining us! Please see the Accommodations and Things To Do tabs on this website for more information on accommodations and things to do.
We understand this is a sensitive topic, especially since it is a destination wedding! As much as we’d love to invite all of our friends’ children, we will only be able to accommodate family children. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day.
If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes, if not, then we would prefer if it was just you.
The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be in the restaurant but open to outside. In the case of inclement weather both the ceremony and reception will be indoors.
Semi-formal/dressy-casual. We understand the temperatures will be high and we want our guests to be comfortable. This means nice slacks and button-downs are acceptable as well as suits (jackets are not required), and summer dresses or flattering jumpsuits.
Parking is extremely limited at the venue (less than 30 parking spaces) and street parking is not available. We strongly suggest carpooling if possible. We will provide shuttle service from Westin Maui Resort and Spa in Kaanapali.
Yes there are both options on Maui, although we are not personally familiar with how abundant or reliable they are, we suggest doing your own research. Prebooking Ubers or Lyfts may be the best way to guarantee a punctual ride. There is also taxi service.

Maui needs the support of visitors now more than ever. They have been going through phased reopening of the Lahaina area that was destroyed, however it does not have a negative logistical impact on our event. Roads through the area are open, and there are plenty of restaurants, activities, and open businesses to enjoy and support. Something to note is that the main north-south road along the northwest part of the island passes through and along some areas of Lahaina that were destroyed, and fire-affected areas are closed off to the public. Please see https://www.gohawaii.com/islands/maui for more information.
Humpback whales can be seen as early as October, so it is possible! Sightings increase through November and December through March is considered whale season when thousands of humpback whales travel to Hawaii from colder waters to breed, calve and nurse their young.
